- High Density Lipoprotein
Lipoproteins that return unused fat to the liver for disposal; HDL levels are raised by aerobic exercise.
They are beneficial due to their "removal" effect on harmful lipoproteins (Low-Density Lipoproteins).
THIS WEEK'S MONI CHALLENGE:
Do you wanna drop 2-5 lbs in two weeks?
The following diet is a sure thing to lose as much as 5 lbs in 2 weeks. This is what I pretty much
put myself on after a week of vacation when gluttony is extremely inevitable.
Are you up for the challenge?
Breakfast:
2 egg whites and
1 cup Oatmeal with Skim milk
Mid-Morning Snack: 1 apple or any fruit
Lunch:
4 oz of grilled/baked chicken breast
(size of a deck of cards)
1 cup steamed veggies
Mid-Afternoon Snack: 10 pieces of raw almonds
Dinner: 4 oz turkey or
grilled steak
1/2 cup steamed veggies
OFF OF MONI'S MENU:
Simple preparation for the 2 egg whites you need for breakfast
Directions:
Pam Spray a small microwaveable bowl and crack 2 eggs and make sure you separate the whites into
the bowl. Pam spraying the bowl is very important as to prevent the whole slimy concoction from sticking to the bowl after
it's cooked. Scramble it with a dash of salt. Pop it in the microwave oven for 1.5 minutes after putting a cover
on it. It will emulsify but do not be alarmed, it won't explode. Take it out of the oven and enjoy. It'll come out
pretty styrofoamy but think of those 2-5 lbs you'll soon shed.
